How We Handle Your Data

This page applies to all visitors to Cranbrook Casino, all registered account holders and anyone who contacts us by email. It takes effect on your first visit to the site and stays in force while we hold any of your information.

Collecting your information

We gather only the data necessary to manage your account and satisfy Canadian requirements:

Identity and contact details: your full legal name, date of birth, home address and email address.
Verification documents: photo ID, proof of address and proof that the payment method on your account belongs to you, as described on our Identity Checks page.
Financial data: deposits, withdrawals, payment method details and balances.
Play data: the games you play, your stakes and results, the limits you set and your use of protection tools.
Technical data: IP address, approximate location from geolocation checks, and the type of browser and device you are using.
Correspondence: what is written in emails exchanged between you and our team.

Using your rights

You have the right to request that we:

give you a full copy of your personal data held by us;
fix any details of yours that are inaccurate or outdated;
delete data we no longer need;
stop using your information for marketing or for other uses you object to.

Send your request by email using the address linked to your account. We confirm who you are before taking action and respond within the time limit set by law. Some records must be kept by law even after you ask for deletion. If so, we will tell you which records were retained and why.

Keeping your information

Account, transaction and verification records are kept while your account remains open. Once it is closed, we hold them for the period required by Canadian anti-money laundering and tax legislation. Your marketing preferences remain as you set them until you change them. When a required period ends, the records are deleted or anonymized.

Updates to this page

This page is revised when legislation or our data handling practices change. The latest version is always published here with its revision date. Where a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.

Protecting your information

Your information is safeguarded by:

encrypted connections;
restricted access controls;
monitoring for unusual activity.

Access to personal data is limited to staff whose role requires it. Card data is handled by our payment partners in line with industry security standards. Use a strong password and never share it.

Transferring information outside Canada

Some partners that host data or carry out verification may store or process it outside Canada. Our contracts require them to provide protection comparable to Canadian law. When your information is held abroad, that country's authorities may lawfully access it under local rules.

Sharing with partners

We share personal data only as needed with:

payment providers that process deposits and withdrawals;
verification services that check your identity, location and age;
service providers for hosting, email delivery and game supply;
public authorities, where Canadian law requires disclosure.

We do not sell your data to anyone.
